How To Win The Greatest Battle You’ll Ever Fight (part I)
Backstabbers, enemies, haters…honestly, they don’t really matter! Because our biggest enemy is the inner me. - the inner self; and the greatest battle you’ll ever fight is the one within.
Whether other people are for or against us is not as important as we seem to think because the true enemy of the soul is fear, not other people.
Fear is a crippling power that often causes us to act in ways contrary to who we really are.
Oftentimes, fear causes us to resort to others' control instead of self-control.
It causes us to focus on controlling what’s going around us, while we neglect to control what’s happening within us.
If only we knew and understood how crucial this is!
Especially since absolutely NOONE has more power over your present and your future than you.
Life is the sum total of the decisions and choices we make over time.
The quality of one’s tomorrow is in part dependent upon the choices made today.
With that in mind, ask yourself:
>> Are you using your life to pursue your heart's desire(s)?
>> Do you awake most days ready to impact others with your talents, skills, gifts, and abilities; or, do you feel stuck and powerless, as if you are not in control of your life, future, and destiny?
>> What’s keeping you from going after what you really want to be & do?
>> Who and what would change if you decided to pursue your dream(s)?
>> If you laid down tonight, knowing you wouldn’t wake up tomorrow, what would you regret not doing?
>> Who could you be if only you do the things you really want to do?
Perhaps you’ve pursued a dream before and it didn’t turn out as planned. First, I commend you for having the courage to pursue a dream. Secondly, I truly am sorry for your loss, and for the pain and devastation you felt when things went awry. Even for you, it’s not too late.
Regardless of your situations, circumstances, and unrealized plans, your dreams can still be realized.
Noone’s past can be undone, and none of us know what the future holds, so the current moment is all we have, and it is a gift.
I once heard someone say, “You will either live your dreams or live your fears.”
The choice is entirely yours because the only barrier that stands between you and what you want out of life is the will to try and the faith to believe…
So, what will you do with today, the gift of the present?
Will you maximize it?
Will you fill it with your best effort; or, will you sit quietly on the sidelines with fear and self-doubt; watching and allowing life to pass you by.
